McKinney/Princeton Firearms Training
We have been teaching in the Princeton/McKinney area for 12 years (DBA McKinney Firearms Training, LLC), with 6000 students taught. Almost 4000 of those have been License to Carry, about 1500 Basic Pistol, and the rest a mixture of School Security teams, Church Security teams, Children's Safety Training, private instruction on pistol, private family groups, and Law Enforcement HR-218 Qualifications. I am Certified by the NRA (ID 164587774), Texas Dept of Public Safety, and the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. In 2016, I provided specialized training for the Melissa ISD, that was widely publicized.

My most popular class is "Learn to Shoot", which is restricted to 6 people. We learn the safety rules, the differences between handguns, how they work, ammo types, loading, and the fundamentals of shooting. Then we shoot, in a very controlled, disciplined, and safe setting. In 12 years, we have never had an accident on my range. High-quality rental guns are available, in different calibers and sizes.
No prior handgun ownership is necessary. Rental firearms and equipment options can be arranged prior to training.

My range is much closer, it is outdoors (superior training), and you are dealing with the business owner, not an employee.
Sandys authoritative and very clear direction make him an excellent instructor. His knowledge of firearms, shooting postures, and facts surrounding the safety of everyday carry are educational. I felt like that by beginning the LTC proficiency test with challenging time trials and variations of shooting, it made us all more relaxed while performing the actual test. The class was eye opening to different aspects of being a concealed carrier and I would like to work with Sandy in a more advanced class, if one is offered in the future. Also, the outdoor range is a wonderful alternative to the confinement of indoor ranges.

We offer Texas LTC classes, private training on pistol and shotgun, beginner pistol classes, and active threat training for individuals from the localities of Princeton, McKinney, Allen, Plano, Nevada, Wylie, Richardson, Frisco, Anna, Melissa, Leonard, Blue Ridge, Garland, Dallas and nearby communities, as well as providing specialized firearms training for the Palmer and Melissa school systems.
Basic Pistol
For people who have not yet learned to shoot, we offer this:
"Learn to Shoot". Done entirely at a private range S of Princeton, we spend about 1 1/2 hours learning safety and fundamentals, and an hour in supervised shooting. This is suitable for beginners and near-beginners.
School Safety Certification / Active Shooter Training
For teachers and other employees of public/private school systems, this two-day class is intensive active shooter
training. It includes identifying threats, barricading classrooms, helping students escape, self-defense strategies
with or without a firearm, combat mindset, and other topics. McKinney Firearms Training is certified by Texas DPS to
teach this certification course.
There is a shorter version of the above for Church Security Team training.
